Abril Ayala-Rodriguez graduated from Cesar Chavez Academy in 2019 and went on to attend Wayne State University with the help of the Detroit Promise. Abril is majoring in pre-nursing and minoring in Latino studies and is interested in becoming a registered nurse in a hospital setting. Additionally, Abril participates in a Latino studies group and Medlife. Abril will graduate from WSU in April 2023. After graduation, Abril wants to work for Beaumont Hospital and apply to graduate school to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
