Simone McIntosh
Simone McIntosh graduated from Renaissance High School in 2018. After completing high school, she successfully enrolled at Michigan State University where she is majoring in Accounting in the Eli Broad College of Business. Simone was able to intern with Blue Cross Blue Shield through Grow Detroit's Young Talent (GDYT) last summer. Simone is interested in math and community service, and this summer she will be interning with Ernest & Young. After she graduates from MSU in May 2022, she wants to work at an accounting firm.
I advise all incoming freshmen to get involved on campus! Being a part of one, or many, student organizations on campus really helps build your support system. College is not easy, and your grades can slip if you don't have the support you need. Scholarships like the Detroit Promise are designed to make college possible for all students. Maintaining your GPA so that you can continue to receive the Detroit Promise Scholarship is important! Gain a support system so that you can have mentors and friends to lean on when you need to!"
